Fun at the Beach

We enjoyed a couple of great days at the beach cabin of our friends the Hopkins last week. The house is 20 min. from our house but a world away! We really enjoyed each other with walks on the beach watching birds and picking up shells. There was even a bald eagle! Gabriel is more active than ever, pulling himself up, crawling, and cutting 2 teeth for good measure. Our family time is busy but delightful!

After the parade a DJ played the electric slide and other dance music. Katarina was SERIOUS about her dancing and tried to follow the steps, etc. Enjoy!

Easter Festivities in Snohomish

Rick and Katarina headed out early Saturday morning for the Snohomish Easter egg hunt with our neighbors, Maura, Jeff and Kayme Hartway. Katarina even won a prize! She insisted on wearing a dress.

Introducing Jane Elizabeth Poetzl born on Monday, January 28. We are all excited to welcome Ben and Joey's little sister!

We enjoyed a snow day on Monday, January 28. Daddy was home! Gabriel thought it was overrated and complained until he got to go take a nap. Katarina loved building a snowman and sledding with Ocean.

Lovey, dovey Katarina

The kids love each other right now! Katarina climbs right into the crib with Gabriel, and they hold hands, she "reads" him stories, or they make silly sounds at each other. Hope the love stays strong! The other picture is Katarina and our neighbor Ocean having a tea party. Two too cute princesses! BTW, Katarina asked me last week, "Mom, when will my prince come?"

Katarina's First Swimming Lesson

Katarina and Sammy Poetzl are taking swimming lessons together and having a blast! Katarina enjoyed lessons thoroughly. The pool is small and warm, and she was confident. The teacher was surprised she had not had lessons before. The smile stayed in place throughout the lesson, she ended by swimming around with floaties and jumping in! She was starving afterward--just like her mom.
