Katarina's Vida Loca

A fun photo history of all the happenings in the Sawczuk household, especially those centering around Mary Katarina Sawczuk.

This is Katarina's first hair cut. She was SOO nervous and excited and so were her mom and dad. It was a very simple cut--just a couple snips to the back.

Katarina got to sit in a car chair (very fun). Most importantly, she looks beautiful!

Pike's Market

We took a fun morning trip to Seattle on Monday, October 1. The kids enjoyed eating fish and chips at the market. (Well, ok, Gabriel ate something else.) We all loved the flowers and time together!

Gabriel's Blankie

Gabriel loves his blankie. He was crying his eyes out until I retrieved it from my room. Then he was "sleeping like a baby" . . .

Ocean's Pony Birthday Party

More fun with our neighbors. Ocean, Katarina's dear friend, turned 3! Cole on our block turned 5. In the combined birthday, the neighborhood enjoyed ponies and a bouncy house. (How will we ever compete?)

Katarina loved riding the pony named Princess and feeding her carrots. Ocean is pictured in the pink cowgirl hat. Ocean and Katarina play together every day they can.

What fun!

Gabirel's Dedication day was special. We were so glad to have a visit from Grandma and Grandpa and Dido to mark the occasion and bless Gabriel. Our next door neighbor Maura joined us at New Life for the service.

Afterward we celebrated at the house with the Poetzls (Nate and Jennie and kids), Poetzls (Tim and Anna and kids) , Skoogs, and our neighbors the Roots, Hartways and Chapmans. There were 18 kids present to celebrate!

Pastor Nate prayed over Gabriel and later wrote this about what God showed him:

"I had such a clear impression from the Lord concerning Gabriel being a Herald of the kingdom. I didn’t use that word in the service because I wasn’t sure most of the church would understand. I used the word “messenger” instead. I hadn’t even thought about any of those things before I began to pray. In my mind’s eye I could see him grown (he looked much like you[Rick]) and he was floating in the air hundreds of feet above an undefined nation. As he was suspended there, he was announcing the Kingdom of God in a bold voice that echoed through the countryside. It was very similar to the picture of the angels announcing to the shepherds the birth of Jesus."

Thank you Jesus for our little Gabriel.
